# Clickup

#### What it does

With the ClickUp integration, Birdie users can:

* create a new ClickUp task from a recording
* choose the target Workspace, Space, Folder and List
* optionally set a parent task, assignee, tags, priority, and due date
* include the Birdie recording link and context in the task

This makes it easier to turn customer recordings into actionable tasks for engineering and product teams.

#### How it works

A Birdie admin connects ClickUp once for the whole workspace.

After that, anyone in the Birdie workspace with access to the feature can use **Send to ClickUp** from a recording.

This means individual users do **not** need to connect their own ClickUp account to create tasks from Birdie.

#### How to connect ClickUp

1. Open your Birdie workspace settings.
2. Go to the **Integrations** section.
3. Click **Connect** on the ClickUp card.
4. Sign in to ClickUp and authorize the Birdie app for the Workspace(s) you want.

Once connected, Birdie will be able to create tasks in your ClickUp Workspace.

#### How to create a task

1. Open a recording in Birdie.
2. Click **Send to ClickUp**. (If you also have Linear connected, use the arrow next to the **Send to** button and pick **Send to ClickUp**.)
3. Fill in the task details:
   * Workspace (required)
   * Space
   * Folder (optional)
   * List (required)
   * Parent task (optional — creates a subtask)
   * Assignee
   * Tags
   * Priority (Urgent, High, Normal, Low)
   * Due date
   * Title
   * Description
4. Click **Create New Task**.

Birdie will create the task in ClickUp and include the recording context.

#### What is included in the ClickUp task

Depending on how you fill in the form, Birdie can include:

* the task title
* your description
* a link to the recording (Watch on Birdie)
* context data (browser, OS, timezone, location, date)
* the assignee, tags, priority and due date selected in the form

{% hint style="info" %}
ClickUp cannot embed the recording inline, so the video is opened through the **Watch on Birdie** link included in the task.
{% endhint %}

#### Disconnecting ClickUp

Disconnecting has two independent parts:

1. **Remove it in Birdie** — open the ClickUp card in **Integrations** and remove the integration. This deletes the stored connection, so Birdie stops using ClickUp.
2. **Revoke access in ClickUp** — ClickUp has no way to revoke a token remotely, so after removing it in Birdie click the **Delete at ClickUp** button (or go to **ClickUp → Settings → Apps**) and remove the Birdie app there.

#### Notes

* A Birdie admin must connect ClickUp before other users can use the integration.
* The available Spaces, Folders, Lists, tags and members depend on your ClickUp Workspace and your permissions.
* Unlike some integrations, ClickUp does **not** notify Birdie when access is revoked. If you revoke Birdie in ClickUp without removing it in Birdie first, the card may still appear connected until the next attempt to create a task fails.
