## &#x20;Macro

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
**Create a Macro in Intercom**

* In Intercom, go to **Macros**.
* Create a new macro or edit an existing one.
* Add your desired message in the response body. Wording is important so when agents manually send a screen recording request using Birdie via Intercom, wording plays a big role in conversion. Here’s a message that works great, which you can also save as an Intercom macro:

*<mark style="color:green;">We recommend taking a screen recording to help us see the issue from your perspective, enabling a quicker and more accurate answer:</mark>*

*<mark style="color:green;">Pro tip: For best results, enable audio and talk us through the steps leading to your issue while recording.</mark>*<br>

*<mark style="color:green;">Click here to record your screen:</mark> <mark style="color:blue;">`ADD BIRDIE REQUEST BUTTON HERE`</mark>*
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Generate the Birdie button**

* When using the macro during a conversation, your team can generate the Birdie request button directly:
  * From the **Birdie sidebar** inside Intercom.
  * Or from the **Birdie editor**, depending on your setup.
    {% endstep %}
    {% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.birdie.so/birdie-docs/helpdesk/intercom/flows/human-initiated-requests.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
