# Custom Data Retention Policies

To set up retention policies, go to [settings -> security](https://app.birdie.so/settings/security) and enter the number of days you want to retain recordings.

You can apply different retention periods to:

1. **Customer Library**, which contains videos recorded by your customers
2. **Team Library**, which contains videos recorded by your teamDeleted data cannot be recovered

Retention is calculated from the date a recording is created. For example, if a retention period of 90 days is applied, the recording will be permanently deleted 90 days after its creation. Deleted data cannot be restored.
