# Request links aren't generating in the Intercom sidebar

{% hint style="warning" %}

{% hint style="info" %}
**An issue on Intercom's side is affecting Birdie**\
Not all teams are affected. If your request links are still generating as usual, you don't need to do anything
{% endhint %}

### What's happening

When you open the Birdie app in the Intercom sidebar and click **Request a recording**, the request link isn't generated. The button appears to do nothing.

This affects the **Request a recording** flow in the Intercom sidebar only. Sending a recording, and everything else in Birdie, is working normally.

### What we know

This is an issue on Intercom's side, not Birdie. Birdie itself is working normally.

We've flagged it to Intercom and they're looking into it. We don't have a root cause or a fix timeline yet. We'll update this page as soon as we hear more.

### Workaround

Until Intercom resolves this, you can still generate a request link from the Birdie app in the **composer** instead of the sidebar. It works the same way there:
